Luminous is a campaign design system for tabletop RPG gamemasters who want living worlds where player choices actually matter — where stories emerge through play rather than being pre-plotted on rails.
The core method: factions have goals and act to pursue them. The world moves whether the players intervene or not. Your job isn't to write a story. It's to build a pressure cooker and let the players loose inside it.
Foundation cards walk you through central threats, faction anatomy, opposition networks, and world state. Pressure cards handle escalation — what do they do next? Session cards give you a 15-to-30-minute prep loop that keeps the world breathing between sessions. The companion book teaches the thinking behind every tool.
